Adult Swim partners with Arktan for mobile app’s second screen experience

Adultswimlogo“Arktan’s success continues not just a trend of networks embracing white label solutions for social TV needs, but for the “Connect”-type social TV curators and destinations that we’ve seen networks launch and bring to real life.” We wrote this about Arktan a year and a half ago, after the California-based company partnered with Turner around SocialStreams.

Now, Adult Swim, another Turner property, will partner with Arktan to power the social platform of the new Adult Swim mobile app, ‘Adult Swim Bump Builder.’ As viewers watch Adult Swim programming , they will be able to sync the app to the linear telecast and follow the real-time social conversation. App users will be able to not only follow the social conversation, but help guide it. By connecting Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts, fans will be able to share directly to social networks via the app.

screen568x568 (1)“As consumption of content on mobile devices continues to grow, it’s increasingly important for brands to tailor realtime social experiences for mobile. The Adult Swim Bump Builder app is highly mobileoptimized. We are excited to power the secondscreen ‘sync to TV’ social integration for the app, which reinforces the leadership of Arktan’s social platform on mobile devices”, said Rahul Aggarwal, Arktan’s CEO and CoFounder.

The app is optimized to make viewing photos and videos a good experience for phone and tablet users. Adult Swim has cornered a valuable market – 18-34 male viewers – and keeping them engaged and socially active via a bespoke mobile app will be greatly beneficial to the network.
