A&E lets ‘Bates Motel’ fans create customized postcards as second season premieres

Bates Motel ”reopens” tonight on A&E as the highly anticipated drama begins its second season. In honor of the second season the network is giving its social TV fans a chance to create customized post cards inviting friends and family to “check out White Pine Bay’s newest, family-owned motel.”

Here are the details from A&E:

Did you enjoy your stay at the Bates Motel? Bates Motel fans are invited to send virtual postcards to their friends and family inviting them to check out White Pine Bay’s newest, family-owned motel. Fans can choose from four different postcard options then further customize their postcard by uploading a personal photo and message.  After creating a postcard and sharing it via Facebook, Twitter and/or email, fans will be entered into a Bates Motel sweepstakes and can earn up to 12 additional entries by performing other actions. One lucky fan will win and all-expense paid trip to Comic-Con International this July in San Diego. Ten other guests will receive Bates Motel room service bundles and the first season on DVD. Find out more at www.HelloFromBatesMotel.com.

Here are our interviews from this past summer with the cast and creators at Comic-Con about social media. Season two premieres tonight at 9/8c.
