Infographic: Who Was Tweeting About the Season 2 Premiere of ‘Sleepy Hollow?’

sleepy-hollow-hed-2013Fox’s hit show ‘Sleepy Hollow‘ returned on Monday, and while the same-day ratings were down compared to the series premiere last year, it is a show that will surely gain ground when the live +7 day numbers come out. The show has stiff competition on Mondays, but will continue to build up its day-of-airing audience as other shows drop off, especially based on what star Lyndie Greenwood (who plays Jenny Mills) told InStyle: “There’s a bit of action in the first episode, and there’s definitely going to be more later in this season. There will be new characters and new monsters. It’ll be insanity, as usual.”

StatSocial, a company that allows brands, publishers, and agencies, to learn more about their Twitter following, showed that of the 41,000 tweets about the season premiere on Monday, 80% were from a female audience.

‘New Girl’ Episodes Finally On Netflix

For those in the know, it might as well be “New Girl” day. Tonight’s the season 4 premiere on FOX and Netflix just began streaming season 3 today.

Netflix release dates could be so much better utilized by networks if they weren’t so wary of viewers streaming old content on any website other than theirs. You could hype the serendipity of the premiere date and being able to binge on last season during your lunchbreak. People like that sort of thing.

Instead, you have to really be paying attention to notice. Also released on Netflix today is FOX’s “Bones” season 9, which premieres next week, so you could theoretically catch up on that, too.

Tonight’s premiere of “New Girl” is bound to be a social hit anyway with guest start Jessica Biel and a little catfighting between her and Jess.

#EverySimpsonsEver Takes Over Twitter

everysimpsonsIf you even glanced at the Internet this weekend, you may have noticed a lot of people watching The Simpsons.

Last Thursday, FXX kicked off a full marathon of all 25 seasons of The Simpsons, in order, nonstop. Some 45-year-old man somewhere has not slept in four nights.

The marathon drew in about 1 million viewers on Thursday and was ranked number one in primetime viewing among males 18-34, overall, according to Deadline.

But it wasn’t just a television binge; it was a social media Simpsons love fest. The network created the hashtag #EverySimpsonsEver and a Twitter account that tweets out the schedule in four-hour blocks, lest anyone miss an installment of ‘Treehouse of Horror.’
