The CMA Music Festival aired on ABC this past Tuesday, and attractive country stars got fans tweeting. Our analytics partner, Canvs, which measures social sentiment around shows, looked at the CMA Music Festival conversation and saw that an astounding 9.3% of reactions mentioned Luke Bryan, and he accounted for 13.9% of all “sexy” reactions. Time McGraw was a close second in the “sexy” reaction category, generating 14.5% of all “sexy” reactions, most of which mentioned his passionate performance (and kiss) with wife Faith Hill.
Using the full text search in Canvs, the company found that clothing, specifically jeans, drove a sizable portion of conversation. Of the tweets mentioning jeans, 47% expressed “love,” 8.8% said the jeans wearer was “sexy,” and 20.8% found the jeans “good.” Among the denim-clad top stars were Luke Bryan Thomas Rhett, and Tim McGraw, who both opted for skinny jeans; and Jason Aldean who wore a looser pair.
