GetGlue, the social TV startup is speeding up their roadmap to monetization. They recently completed a big campaign with YouTube and have now announced a new EVP of Sales to take their paid partnerships to the next level. Shelby Huston Haro, the former head of enterprise sales at Flixster & Fandango has joined their team.
Haro will join GetGlue’s LA team to help grow the platform’s ad network. In a recent catch up with Haro and Sean Besser who joined their team in September we learned about the roadmap to give brands more of an opportunity to leverage the intense entertainment fans that have emerged across the network.
Nearly two years ago, GetGlue had already tested out opportunities for brands in a partnership with EW and the Gap. The next year will be a real test to see if they can standardize brands spending with them across different genres and TV shows. The fall TV season will definitely be a big one for them and the brands that join them.
