For this week’s analysis with Canvs we took a deeper dive into the awards show to understand where the social TV reactions came from during the network’s big tent pole. Most of the top moments came from performances. Here are the details.

-Funny spiked when Kevin Hart took the stage.
-Beautiful spiked during Jennifer Hudson’s performance.
-Chris Brown drove more than 100k reactions, mostly in praise of his performance.
-Lil Wayne elicited more than 35k reactions, equally divided between love and WTF.
-Beyonce and Jay-Z’s performance was the most anticipated of the night with more than 15k reactions expressing “can’t wait.”
