Random thought about the CNN-Coast Guard brouhaha: You know, local Twitter feeds that featured nothing but interesting stuff from the scanner would be really popular. But perhaps you wouldn’t want to brand it with your news organization.

He's also on the advisory board for the University of Washington's innovative digital media program.
