For those who weren’t completely consumed by the Ellen Degeneres Oscars selfie heard round the Internet, Ellen’s record-breaking Oscars tweet (3,402,000 retweets as we speak) topped the previous retweet record of one important individual: President Barack Obama.
Obama previously held the record, as his “four more years” tweet featuring a photo of him and First Lady Michelle Obama hugging after his re-election amassed 780,000 retweets.
Well, new twitter champion and old twitter champion will face off tomorrow, as President Obama makes his first appearance as president on “The Ellen Degeneres Show” via a live shot from The White House.
We’re no TV producers here at Lost Remote, but for the good of social TV—and our own blog—we humbly suggest a real-time selfie tweet-off between the president and daytime host to find out once and for all: who’s the Twitter king or queen.
