Stephen Colbert Books NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio…on Twitter

In what was either an organic Twitter booking or a thinly-veiled publicity stunt, Stephen Colbert booked New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio for “The Colbert Report” on Twitter.

After this first tweet, the Mayor swiftly responded.

Colbert apparently had to check with his schedulers, followed by doubling down on his original request.

The Mayor remained calm, cool, and collective.

Mayor de Blasio will appear on “The Colbert Report” Wednesday night on Comedy Central.
