<description><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://lostremote.com/files/2013/03/facebookhashtag.jpg"><img src="http://lostremote.com/files/2013/03/facebookhashtag.jpg" alt="" title="facebookhashtag" width="250" height="156" class="alignright size-full wp-image-37002" /></a>Facebook is planning to add hashtags &#8220;as a way to group conversations,&#8221; <a href="http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887323393304578360651345373308.html">reports</a> the Wall Street Journal. &#8220;Facebook is testing whether to follow Twitter&#8217;s lead and allow users to click on a hashtag to pull up all posts about similar topics or events so it can quickly index conversations around trending topics and build those conversations up,&#8221; the paper reported, pointing out that Facebook&#8217;s Instagram already uses hashtags. </p>

<title>While Twitter doubles down on TV, Facebook reminds everyone it&#8217;s still a big player</title>
<description><![CDATA[<p><img alt="" src="http://lostremote.com/files/2012/12/facebooktv.jpg" class="alignright" width="223" height="140" />Facebook is notoriously quiet about its internal numbers, but VP Dan Rose <a href="http://www.theverge.com/2013/2/12/3980718/facebook-looks-to-become-a-second-screen-for-television-but-its-not">revealed</a> a few TV statistics during his talk at the All Things D conference today.  He said they counted 54 million Super Bowl mentions and 20 million for the Grammys. <title>Trendrr secures patent for data processing methods</title>

They also have one of the most popular apps on the <a href="http://lostremote.com/weather-channel-releases-new-social-ipad-app_b22075" target="_blank">App Store</a> and recently <a href="http://lostremote.com/the-weather-channel-turns-30-launches-new-more-social-website-interview_b28533" target="_blank">revamped their website</a> to bring social even more center stage. As their digital footprint has grown, their original television content has as well. Tonight at 9pm Eastern the network is premiering &#8220;<a href="http://www.weather.com/tv/tvshows/coast-guard-florida/cgf-about-show-20120907" target="_blank">Coast Guard Florida</a>,&#8221; a follow up to the successful &#8220;Coast Guard Alaska&#8221;.
