How A&E used Instagram to promote Longmire

A&E's new scripted show Longmire just hit a ratings high with it's eight episode that aired on Sunday with 4.5 million viewers (comparatively Breaking Bad had 2.9). The show, which tells the story of of author Craig Johnson's Walt Longmire, is about a Wyoming Sheriff recovering from the loss of his wife and a cunning younger deputy who decides to run against him in the election. Exclusive: A&E launches social challenge for 'Barter Kings'

A&E continues to ramp up its social TV efforts to provide an additional layer for fans and influencers to participate in their programming. Recently, they launched a second screen app for Storage Wars.
