MTV launches the ‘mtvU Fandom Awards’ set to air from Comic-Con in July

Now, MTV’s 24-hour college network, mtvU is making a huge investment in honoring fans with the “mtvU Fandom Awards” which will take place on Sunday, July 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

“The ‘mtvU Fandom Awards’ will reinvent the traditional award show format,” said Ryan Kroft, “mtvU Fandom Awards” Executive Producer in the announcement. “In addition to handing out trophies, we will recognize the achievements of fans and their favorite obsessions with special surprises and experiences. When art and music change the world: new MTV World series ‘Rebel Music’ follows young people in 6 countries

safe_imageLast Monday, MTV World debuted ‘Rebel Music,’ a new documentary series about musicians and artists in areas of conflict. ‘Rebel Music’ will feature six episodes examining the lives of young people using art and music to create change around the world. The first two episodes premiered last week, and the remaining four episodes will debut weekly on mtvU and RebelMusic.com.
