Streaming company Watchitoo (which powered the Social TV Summit stream) has launched a device to make it easier for producers to bring multiple live web streams straight to TV. "The Watchitoo Channel Encoder 1000 is a server/hardware combination that can turn a web video stream into an HDTV-quality product by treating it like an in-studio camera feed," the company explains.

When MTV announced the third iteration of their audacious O Music Awards -- which gets underway tomorrow night -- they promised they would break the world record for most concerts in 24 hours, traveling across 8 cities in a wired-up bus while giving away an award every hour. When the Flaming Lips were announced as the band that would break the record, we knew we had to be there.
MTV recently announced a massive OMAs that will involve a live streamed 24-hour bus tour. As the June event approaches, the OMAs are beginning to announce nominees across their different categories. They provided Lost Remote exclusively with this year's nominees for "Must Follow Artists on Twitter." MTV's second O Music Awards kicked off on Sunday night with an attempt to break a Guinness World Record for longest Dance Marathon, raising money for a bunch of LGBT organizations (live stream below). Award categories include "Beyond The Blog Award," "Best Fan Cover," and "Most Addictive Social Music Service," which Spotify has not surprisingly won.
