‘Cosmos’ Sequel Creating Space Buzz on Social

CosmosOver three decades after the original “Cosmos: A Personal Voyage” brought viewers on a space adventure, there is an outer space sequel causing buzz on social.

“Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey” starring astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson and produced by Seth MacFarlane premieres Sunday night at 9pmET on Fox, and hopes to spread the Carl Sagan classic to a much wider audience.

“COSMOS: A SPACETIME ODYSSY is a truly powerful series that has the potential to inspire a new generation to take an interest in science and the world around us,” Fox Broadcasting Company EVP of Marketing and Communications Shannon Ryan tells Lost Remote.

At Tuesday night’s premiere event at Los Angeles’ Griffith Observatory—where the original COSMOS premiered almost 35 years ago—a satellite feed fed the first episode to planeteria, museums, and theatres around the the country. Brian Family Guy 304Social media exploded after “Family Guy” killed off its beloved Brian the dog character three weeks ago, and Twitter was equally active as the show’s canine cartoon companion miraculously came back to life last night through a time machine.

The question begs: was Brian’s revival a planned plot device, or did social media outcry—and a Change.org petition—force show creator Seth MacFarlane to bring Brian back after killing him less than a month ago.

‘Family Guy’ Kills Off Beloved Dog Brian, Twitter Explodes

Family Guy dog“Family Guy” created a social media frenzy last night after shockingly killing off the show’s long-time canine cartoon companion, beloved dog Brian Griffin.

The character, who’s been voiced by show creator Seth MacFarlane in all 11 seasons, died after getting run over by a car in a tearjerker that left fans on Twitter scrambling for tissues and answers.
