Each of the six companies that were accepted to this program had social components that were part of their technology. Turner Broadcasting is the latest network with a major social TV announcement. The Atlanta-headquartered TV powerhouse that includes TBS, TNT and CNN announced their inaugural "Media Camp" -- an accelerator for social TV startups (applications had opened up at SXSW). This is a smart move for the network to be able to tap into the potential success of these companies beyond just partnering with them...
After MTV President Stephen Friedman hinted at how excited he was for Teen Wolf's new social TV activation, we knew this project would be a big one for the network. The network announced "The Hunt," a Facebook-infused scripted social storyline for the second season of their hit scripted show, and we quickly uncovered that SocialSamba was powering it.
