What Happens When Conan O’Brien and Dave Franco Join Tinder?

Team Coco is at it again.

If you were in Los Angeles browsing social dating app Tinder in the past few weeks, you may have come across Chip Whitley and Djengus Roundstone, the pseudonyms Conan O’Brien and Dave Franco, respectively, came up for themselves for their Tinder profiles. The 12-minute segment, which aired last night on ‘Conan,’ is worth watching and is great press for Tinder. You may not think that Tinder would have many social TV implications, but Mindy Kaling recently made good use of it recently for her ‘The Mindy Project’ character, Mindy Lahiri, when the character joined the platform in January.

Team Coco releases iPhone and Android versions of its Emmy-winning app

A year ago, Team Coco released an exciting Emmy Award-winning tablet app that served as a true second screen companion for each episode of Conan, delivering extra content in real time.  The problem was that the app was for tablets only. Last week, though, Team Coco released an iPhone and Android version of the app, which will keep the show’s digital team at the forefront of late-night comedy fan engagement. Read more

An interview with Team Coco GM John Wooden about Occupy Conan

Last month we wrote about the unique episode of Conan O’Brien’s show, ‘Occupy Conan,’ which consisted entirely of fan-submitted videos recreating segments from past broadcasts.  Some of the videos submitted were extremely creative, and others were downright ridiculous – a fitting description of Conan and his fans. MLB Network’s ‘Intentional Talk’ crowdsources episode, sees huge social boost

While MLB Network’s “Intentional Talk” shows fan tweets at the bottom of the screen each episode, the program went a step further on a special Social Media Day episode. The show, hosted by Chris Rose and Kevin Millar, gave fans an opportunity to produce the January 25th episode. In the week leading up to the episode,@IntentionalTalk, asked fans to contribute photos and videos for recurring segments “How Pro Is That?,” “What Just Happened?,” “That Was Awkward,” and “Got Heeeem,” and to come up with topics for “5 for Friday” and questions for “Ask Kevin.” In the show’s final segment, credits featuring contributors’ Twitter handles scrolled on the left panel.
