Team Coco EP and GM John Wooden added to Lost Remote Show lineup

conanlinkedin-300x187We’re excited to announce that John Wooden, Executive Producer and GM of Team Coco, has joined the speaker roster for Lost Remote’s LA Show taking place on December 13th, 2013.

Since Conan O’Brien joined TBS, his digital team – Team Coco – has been responsible for some of the most innovative and memorable social TV activations, including a Tumblr devoted to Conan crying, an award-winning iPad app, and Occupy Conan, an episode of the show that was entirely crowd-sourced.

JohnWooden manages these promotions and we had the opportunity in February to interview him about Occupy Conan. When we asked Wooden how one gets to be the GM of Team Coco, he responded: “I’m pure digital media trash. I’ve been in various digital media roles since 1995, starting on the agency side. Among other things that I’ve run are Maxim Online, jokes.com (part of Comedy Central), and then for Turner Broadcasting.”

Wooden will join our panel, “The Future of Social TV: What Networks are Planning for the Spring and Summer TV Season,” where panelists will present a breaking piece of news in social TV for their networks, followed by a brief Q&A on how to run a successful campaign.

Wooden’s full bio:

John has directed strategy and production for CONAN since 2010, with oversight of programming, social, creative, integrated marketing & product for all digital and mobile platforms. During his 15+ years of digital product development, he has won five Webbys, one Emmy, and two SXSW Interactive awards.  Previously, Mr. Wooden served as Director, Digital Programming & Creative for Turner Broadcasting’s New Products Group, developing new digital businesses and  prototypes for TBS, HLN and TruTV.  Prior to that, he ran a succession of hit websites including Jokes.com (acquired by Comedy Central TV), Maxim Magazine, and the notorious political parody WhiteHouse.org.  He began his career in interactive working at agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi, producing high-profile websites for brands including Sony Electronics, National Geographic, Microsoft and American Express.  He is an alumnus of Brown University and originally hails from Vermont.
