Twitter’s head of media, Chloe Sladden leaves the company

Since then, Sladden rose to the VP of Media as the company went public and along the way built out an impressive TV team with Fred Graver at its head. Her leadership helped put TV and Twitter in what continues to be a (mostly) loving relationship. Sladden recently announced she’ll be leaving the company and hasn’t announced her next move yet but it’s definitely worth paying attention to who steps in to take her place. In what is shaking up to be some pretty significant reorganization over at Twitter, Chloe Sladden, the head of Twitter’s North American media operations, announced Thursday that she is leaving the company.

Sladden’s exit follows the departure of high-profile COO Ali Rowghani earlier in the day. In regulatory filings, Twitter said that Rowghani would not be replaced, but instead his responsibilities would be shifted to other executives. Christopher Fry, Twitter’s senior vice president of engineering, also resigned and took on an advisory role last month.

Like Rowghani, Sladden did not give a reason for her departure. Rowghani was reportedly under fire for an inability to spur growth. Twitter’s slower-than-ideal pace of both user and revenue growth has also failed to meet the expectations of investors since the company went public last fall.
