Urban Outfitters, the clothing store most associated with hipsters, has developed a new app in an attempt to spark sales after a weak fall period saw a loss of $200 million.
Customers who mention the brand on Twitter or Instagram will become eligible for rewards that include concert tickets and early access to store apparel. The new app also has a Four-Square-esque check-in feature that will lure customers with promotional offers based on location.
Users are also urged to be creative with their profiles— you can personalize your background, update a photo, and enter your gender and college.
The company is also giving customers a chance to win prizes separate from the app; they had a retweet contest this week for a chance to win a skateboard:
