The connected device market just got more competitive. While Apple TV doesn’t yet have an HBO GO App, the network just announced that you can now turn your second screen into the main screen by AirPlayingHBO GO from an iOS device to your Apple TV.
At the “All Things D: Dive Into Media” this week, Eric Kessler, President and COO of HBO made the announcement about the app’s new features. The app securely streams content to your HDTV via Apple TV over wifi. Cinemax’s MAX GO App was also updated with the same capabilities. Updates to both apps are now available on the App Store.
While Kessler maintained that HBO was still not ready to offer its services to non-cable subscribers, the latest series of upgrades is yet another example of HBO making its programming as accessible and seamless as possible for subscribers.
